Final “Live” ratings from Monday, May 9, 2012
May 9th, 2012 by TerryABC’s promos featuring Richard Castle professing his love for Kate Beckett in the season finale, did the trick. The show won handily in overall views, and eked ahead in the 18-49 demographic that advertisers love so much. Hawaii Five-0 fans were eagerly anticipating the return of Steve McGarrett to the screen, so hopefully when the DVR numbers are tabulated in a few weeks, they will give CBS a nice boost.

Well, those numbers aren’t really a surprise. There was no way that H50 would win against the Castle finale.
But I’m very sure a LOT of people have recorded it.
It was so obvious that 5-0 would never beat Castle Season Finale but next week should be better…dont forget these rating are US only…so if you count Canada it a lot higher plus those who recorded it!
Still love my Hawaii Five-0!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s extremely popular in Canada and wins Monday nights for global tv. I can watch Castle episodes once only. I watch h50 episodes too many times to count!
Thanks! I know that H50 has consistently won the time slot and key demographic ratings this entire season! Next week’s season 2 finale will be awesome and will also win its time slot and key demo ratings. Over the last few weeks, many fans have been watching the NBA Championship Play offs, which have affected the ratings of regular shows. Many fans have been recording shows like H50 and then watch them later at a more convenient time. Every week, I watch H50 live as well as record it, then re-watch it immediately on my DVR.
I really don’t get why H50 doesn’t get better ratings. Its a great show, nothing really like it on TV – not a straight procedural, has action, comedy, great stories, actors and location. I really think the lack of a true procedural element scares people off, too lulled by all the others out there; maybe if it had CSI or NCIS in front of the name…
I’n from Canada,,,and yes H50 is very popular here,,,,too bad the rating doesn’nt include canadian viewers!!!
I’m “Like”ing this strictly because of the pic.
Lol
I thin we have to give thanks that H50 is still on teh air and CBS pick it up for a 3rd season, it has to remain taht way with the full support of the fans and also other people who may start watching this show until now. I was raeding now that all the networks just cancel several comedies and drama in just this week. Dramas that you could not expect even after 2 seasons and some even in one season. So we have to be tahnkful H50 was picked up for a 3rd season.
IMO Hawaii 5-0 should change their timeslot to tuesday following NCIS and NCIS:LA which can help to gain rating or drop the time on Monday to 9:00 pm so it wont complete with Castle? On Tuesday it would at least reach 12 million more likely
